As a Director, Matt will be heading Mitchell Brandtman’s Infrastructure division which provides specialist Quantity Surveying and Cost Engineering Services from concept through to delivery and commissioning.
Matt has over 20 years’ experience in the NSW market and clients have relied on his expertise across a broad range of areas including major rail projects, urban renewal, remediation, subdivisions, roads, bridges, mining, sewerage treatment, pipelines, substations, residential, commercial, public open space and retail.
With nearly 50 years in business, Mitchell Brandtman understands that success is built on people and relationships. Matt embodies those ideals and will continue to be instrumental in leading the business, working with our clients, mentoring team members and sharing his knowledge on a day to day basis.

Mitchell Brandtman‘s Victorian team members Don Leelarathne and Sophie Ly, are thrilled to be partnering with the 24 hour Victoria Police and the project team Vincent Chrisp Architects, RPS Group, Umow Lai, WALLBRIDGE GILBERT AZTEC & Nicholson Constructions to deliver this Fantastic project.
The new station is government-funded to replace the current Altona North Police Station on Cooper Avenue.
Plans for the new station show 59 on-site car spaces, one bay for a booze bus and three spots for stolen vehicles.
A report prepared for Victoria Police says the new station is aimed at ensuring “a stronger police presence in the Hobsons Bay area”.
“Should a significant event occur in the municipality of Hobsons Bay or immediate area, the new police station has also been designed to accommodate a higher level of serving members to ensure that the community is served appropriately,” the report states.
The new station was expected to be operational in 2020.

Kurtis is a Senior Quantity Surveyor and brings over 19 years of professional Quantity Surveying experience to MB.
Having worked in New Zealand, Asia/Pacific and Australia on major projects up to $300M in value, Kurtis specialises in providing a full range of Quantity Surveying services on apartments, high-end residences, land subdivisions, private hospitals, aged care, childcare centres and the hotel & resort sector.
Mitchell Brandtman is excited to have Kurtis join the MB team and look forward to introducing him to our many valued clients.
The University of Melbourne Bio21 Stage 2C Advanced Microscopy Facility has started construction on site.
The $16 million development consists the construction of a new two storey mass timber laboratory building at the bioscience campus in Parkville.
Works also include preservation of the heritage listed market wall, refurbishment of the historic Veterinary Research Institute Building, a new link to the recently completed Nancy Millis building and major infrastructure upgrades to support the new facility.
The design constraints for cyro electron microscopes to be housed in the new facility are very strict in terms of permissible vibration allowances on the structure, and the building services requirements to maintain constant power and temperature control to the facility.
This is the first project in Australia adopting such a unique construction technology.
